Dubai is a city of contrasts with outstanding modern architecture and skyscrapers but also suburban villas and traditional arabic homes. Much of the desert has been converted into lush green parks, public gardens and four world class golf courses. There are many international events held in the emirate including The Dubai Tennis Open, The Dubai Classic (golf), The Dubai World Cup (horse racing) and Formula 1 Motor Racing.
Other leisure activities include water sports, bowling, ice-skating, archery, horse riding and desert safaris. Dubai even has the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East and offers an amazing snow setting to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing or just playing in the snow.
And because Dubai sits at the crossroads between Europe, Asia and Africa, not to mention the Far East and Australia, it is increasingly the port of call for international travelers.
